Marisol Salanova se caracteriza por ser muy mediática y con un estilo reconocible en cuanto a manera de trabajar, clara, directa, rápida y concisa, independiente pero mirando hacia el artista como activista, escuchándolo y amplificando su mensaje a través del montaje expositivo y la escritura. Es licenciada en Filosofía por la Universidad de Valencia en España, Máster en Producción Artística por la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia y docente invitada en seminarios y workshops internacionales, algunos de los cuales han tenido lugar en la Universidad de Oxford, la Universidad de Brighton en Reino Unido y la Universidad de California en Berkeley tratando temas como el ciberfeminismo, machinima, cibersexo y teoría queer.

Publica textos críticos asiduamente con Ivorypress en el magazine Turn On art, artículos para Arquine México y la revista de tendencias Ocimag. Ha participado varias veces en la sección VOCES del festival de música SOS4.8 aportando siempre una referencia feminista. Autora de los libros Postpornografía (Sigueleyendo, 2012) y Enterrados, el ocaso de los cuerpos (Editorial Micromegas, 2015), codirije junto a Javier Castro el proyecto editorial dedicado a publicar ensayos inéditos sobre arte contemporáneo Micromegas, con presencia en la sección As Tables Are Shelves de la Feria ARCO Madrid en las ediciones de 2014 y 2015.

Como comisaria ha dirigido el proyecto Perfopoetry desarrollado en el Centro Párraga de Murcia; la exposición de Andrea Canepa The fragile assembly of everyday life en el LAB de Murcia en 2010; la muestra colectiva Soledades en la Sala El Brocense de la Diputación de Cáceres en 2011 con los artistas Bernadí Roig, Fernando Sánchez Castillo, Baltazar Torres, Rafa Sendín, Saelia Aparicio, Sergio Porlán, Enrique Zabala; también la exposición individual de Violeta Nicolás Autorretrato Invisible en Murcia en 2013; la de Bernardo Tejeda El fuego y la grasa en el Museo de la Valltorta de Castellón en 2013; el proyecto Horror Vacui de Juan Carlos Rosa Casasola para la Fundación Frax de Alicante en agosto de 2014; la muestra de Juanli Carrión ONSTAGE simultáneamente en Murcia hasta febrero de 2015; WRITTEN IN INK por la fotógrafa Mai Oltra en la Sala del Colegio Oficial de Enfermería de Valencia y en la misma sala la colectiva NURSES de Juan Carlos Rosa, Javier Velasco, CoRTarcabezas, Mari Quiñonero y Francisca Pageo; así como la macroperformance de Abel Azcona Enterrados en el Monumento a Los Caídos de Pamplona en mayo de 2015 y el Festival feminista Ygrá en Atenas, Grecia The Athens Fluidity Festival 2015 con obras, entre otras, de las Pussy Riot, Valeria Torres, Paola Daniele y RallitoX.

Marisol Salanova is media savvy and has a recognizable a way of working; clear, direct, quick and concise, independent but facing the artist as an activist, listening and amplifying his or her message through the exhibition design and writings. She graduated in philosophy from the University of Valencia in Spain, Holds a Masters degree in Artistic Production at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Polytechnic University of Valencia and is a visiting lecturer at international seminars and workshops, some of which have taken place at the University of Oxford, University of Brighton in the UK and the University of California, Berkeley addressing issues such as cyberfeminism, machinima, cybersex and queer theory.

She publishes critical texts regularly in magazines such as Ivorypress and Turn On art, articles for Arquine Mexico and lifestyle magazine Ocimag. She has participated several times in the VOICES section SOS4.8 music festival always bringing a feminist reference. She is the author of books such as postpornography (Sigueleyendo, 2012) and Buried, the decline of the bodies (Editorial Micromegas, 2015).

Along with Javier Castro, She directs Micromegas, an editorial project dedicated to publishing original essays on contemporary art, present in the section Tables Are Shelves at the ARCO art Fair (Madrid) in 2014 and 2015.

She has curated and directed the Perfopoetry project at the Centro Parraga of Murcia and exhibitions such as Andrea Canepa’s solo show The fragile assembly of everyday life in the LAB of Murcia in 2010; the group exhibition The Solitudes in Room Brocense at the Council of Caceres in 2011 with artists Bernadí Roig, Fernando Sánchez Castillo, Baltazar Torres, Rafa Sendin, Saelia Aparicio, Sergio Porlán, Enrique Zabala; also Solo shows for Nicholas Violet Invisible Self in Murcia in 2013; Bernardo Tejeda’s Fire and Fat at the Valltorta Museum of Castellón in 2013; Juan Carlos Rosa Casasola’s project Horror Vacui for Alicante Frax Foundation in August 2014; Juanli Carrion’s Show ONSTAGE simultaneously in Murcia until February 2015; WRITTEN IN INK by photographer Mai Oltra in the Hall of the College of Nursing of Valencia and in the same room the group show NURSES with works by Juan Carlos Rosa, Javier Velasco, CoRTarcabezas, and Francisca Mari Quiñonero Pageo; as well as Abel Azcona macroperformance Buried in the War memorial of Pamplona in May 2015 and the feminist Ygra Festival in Athens, Greece The Athens Festival 2015 Fluidity works, among others, the Pussy Riot, Valeria Torres, Paola Daniele and RallitoX.
