Christian Parreño es investigador y candidato doctoral en el Instituto de la Forma, Teoría e Historia en la escuela de Arquitectura y diseño de Oslo. Su investigación se centra en el estudio de la relación entre aburrimiento, espacio y la arquitectura moderna. En el 2012,  llevó a cabo su investigación en el Bartlett, Escuela de Arquitectura y Diseño de la University College London, UCL, y durante el 2014, ejercerá como Investigador Visitante en la Universidad de California en Los Ángeles. Christian posee título de Masters en Arquitectura por la Arquitectural Association  de Londres y título profesional de arquitecto por la universidad de San Francisco de Quito. Entre el 2006 al 2010 y 2001 al 2005, ejerció como arquitecto e investigador en Londres y en Ecuador. Desde el 2009, Parreño es el editor de la sección ‘Space’ de la revista ‘Glass’. Ha sido comisario de exposiciones  de arte individuales y colectivas para Arte Actual, La Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales - Quito.

Christian Parreño is a PhD Fellow in the Institute of Form, Theory and History, at The Oslo School of Architecture and Design. His research investigates the relation between boredom, space and modern architecture. In 2012, he spent a year carrying out this research at The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, and he will be a Research Visiting Scholar at University of California Los Angeles in 2014. He holds a Histories and Theories MA from the Architectural Association and a five-year Architectural degree from San Francisco de Quito University. During 2006­–10 and 2001–05, he practiced as an architect and researcher in London and Ecuador. Since 2009, Parreño is the Space Editor of ‘Glass’ Magazine. He has curated individual and group art exhibitions for Arte Actual, Latin-American Faculty of Social Sciences - Quito.
